Job Description 

• Design and develop applications using MVC framework and ensure adherence to application development standards
• Design, build, maintain and document efficient, reusable and reliable code
• Participate in the development of customer applications; design and develop prototypes on multi-tiered platforms
• Collaborate with a team of developers to identify, debug, prioritize bug fixes on the applications developed by the team
• Ensure high-quality code by performing unit and integration testing, both manually and automatically

Skills Set

• Strong programming skills and experience developing applications using Java/J2EE design patterns, architecture, multi-tier architecture, OO design methodologies and data modeling techniques
• Solid experience in design and development using MVC framework
• Experience with Spring, Struts and other MVC frameworks
• Experience with REST/JSON and SOAP/XML service development
• Experience in test-driven development
• Solid experience in writing complex SQL queries, procedures and views
• Excellent knowledge on relational/OLTP databases (mySQL, msSQL, Oracle). Knowledge on multi-dimensional processing/OLAP is a plus
• Ability to work under pressure, deal with ambiguity and multi-task. Strong desire to learn new things and work/thrive in

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Computer Science or Related Field
• At least 5 years of solid experience in Java/J2EE, Spring/Struts development
• Solid working knowledge on OLTP. OLAP is a plus
• Solid working knowledge of REST and SOAP based web services
• Previous experience on Websphere and JBoss deployment is a plus
