Master Database Maintenance (MDM) Associate

Company: Dole Asia Company Ltd 


Job Description 

Key duties and responsibilities are:

1. Supports the MDM Lead in the smooth/ seamless migration of MDM activities from the Divisions to the Shared Service Center. During migration, ensure proper and complete documentation of existing MDM processes, recommend and introduce improvements/ enhancements when necessary, and train his/ her staff on these processes.

2. Responsible for executing/ performing the following MDM activities, in accordance with his/ her KPI targets:

  • Set-up of new customers, vendors, and products in the database system as well update existing databases in accordance with established standards and policies under a defined SLA;
  • Contact customers, vendors, and/or internal counterparts to verify/ validate information provided.
  • Perform periodic clean-up and maintenance of databases to ensure clean and reliable data.
  • Supports the MDM Lead in creating MDM policies and guidelines to promote the integrity and cleanliness of the databases, as well as monitor and ensure compliance.

3. Supports the MDM Lead in the following areas:

  • Maintenance of a good working relationship with his/ her customers and counterparts.
  • Ensuring a sound resiliency plan within his/ her area of responsibility, including a working backup system, and complete and updated process documentation
  • Once processes have stabilized in the MDM Team, recommend and assist in rolling out continuous improvement initiatives with the operations and processes

4. Ensuring compliance to internal controls, the Company's policies and procedures, and with the accounting principles and standards.

Education:

  1. BS degree in Business, or IT-related course; any Business related courses
  2. A sound practical knowledge of MDM internal controls

Experience:

  1. At least (4) years of experience in MDM for the vendor, customer, and product/ price;
  2. Experienced in working in a Shared Service Center environment; and
  3. Solid exposure to process migration and process improvements projects

Specific Skills:

  1. Detail-oriented, pro-active, able to thrive in a transitioning, high-pressure environment;
  2. Good customer-oriented mindset and interpersonal skills.
  3. Good English communication skills, both written and oral;
  4. Practical knowledge of ERP applications (JDE, SAP
  5. Exposure to a process improvement tool (e.g., Lean Six Sigma); and
  6. Proficient in MS Excel, Access, Powerpoint, and Outlook.

Other Requirement:

  1. Willing to be based in Davao City

Virtual Assistant with PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript knowledge

Job Description

We are looking for a Rock Star Virtual Assistant to work with one of our Australian clients.

The role duties include:

  • Content entry into CMS systems
  • Create documentation for our custom software
  • Cross browser testing of websites and web apps
  • Implement documented processes including in CPanel, PHPMyAdmin - basic website deployment
  • Email (and very rarely, phone/Skype) support for website and software clients
  • Editing some PHP and HTML/CSS files as part of website builds eg setting up some page structure. If you are already at a high level of coding proficiency there will be more challenging PHP tasks but we will tailor this to the individual
  • Fun stuff like working with us scoping out new software products, and researching new solutions
  • Managing information flow eg monitoring support emails and creating Asana tasks where required
  • Updating and maintaining some of our research reports including Excel spreadsheets and Powerpoint charts
  • Working with our in-house survey software, setting up and monitoring online research surveys
  • Some general admin duties such as drafting emails, researching products, booking travel.This can be tailored depending on individual skillset.

Qualifications

  • Keen to learn, want to work in a varied role and have a great attitude
  • Tech savvy and have a desire to figure out how programs and software works
  • Happy to work with programming code (PHP/HTML) but also looking for a role that is more varied than being a full-time coder/developer
  • Have a bit of entrepreneurial spirit

Requirements

  • Excellent English - written/oral
  • Very computer literate including an ability to learn new software tools quickly
  • Experience with CMS content entry - understanding how CMS systems work
  • Ideally a degree of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/JQuery knowledge (you don't need to be a coding expert but you'll need to have worked with code and be happy to do and learn more)
