Master Database Maintenance (MDM) Associate

Job Description 

Key duties and responsibilities are:

1. Supports the MDM Lead in the smooth/ seamless migration of MDM activities from the Divisions to the Shared Service Center. During migration, ensure proper and complete documentation of existing MDM processes, recommend and introduce improvements/ enhancements when necessary, and train his/ her staff on these processes.

2. Responsible for executing/ performing the following MDM activities, in accordance with his/ her KPI targets:

  • Set-up of new customers, vendors, and products in the database system as well update existing databases in accordance with established standards and policies under a defined SLA;
  • Contact customers, vendors, and/or internal counterparts to verify/ validate information provided.
  • Perform periodic clean-up and maintenance of databases to ensure clean and reliable data.
  • Supports the MDM Lead in creating MDM policies and guidelines to promote the integrity and cleanliness of the databases, as well as monitor and ensure compliance.

3. Supports the MDM Lead in the following areas:

  • Maintenance of a good working relationship with his/ her customers and counterparts.
  • Ensuring a sound resiliency plan within his/ her area of responsibility, including a working backup system, and complete and updated process documentation
  • Once processes have stabilized in the MDM Team, recommend and assist in rolling out continuous improvement initiatives with the operations and processes

4. Ensuring compliance to internal controls, the Company's policies and procedures, and with the accounting principles and standards.

Education:

  1. BS degree in Business, or IT-related course; any Business related courses
  2. A sound practical knowledge of MDM internal controls

Experience:

  1. At least (4) years of experience in MDM for the vendor, customer, and product/ price;
  2. Experienced in working in a Shared Service Center environment; and
  3. Solid exposure to process migration and process improvements projects

Specific Skills:

  1. Detail-oriented, pro-active, able to thrive in a transitioning, high-pressure environment;
  2. Good customer-oriented mindset and interpersonal skills.
  3. Good English communication skills, both written and oral;
  4. Practical knowledge of ERP applications (JDE, SAP
  5. Exposure to a process improvement tool (e.g., Lean Six Sigma); and
  6. Proficient in MS Excel, Access, Powerpoint, and Outlook.

Other Requirement:

  1. Willing to be based in Davao City
