Job Description 

Job Functions:

A Systems Design and Development Engineer is expected to deliver the following key result areas:

  • Responsible for system design, system documentation, and specifications, application development, system test, and configurations, including deployment and installation. Provide custom software solutions which may or may not be synchronized and interfacing with other software systems.
  • Serve as a technical consultant in the creation and delivery of solution presentations and proactively assess and manage risk.
  • Responsible for the following Maintenance responsibilities:
          - Responsible for consulting with users/coaches/officers to resolve technical issues
          - Fix bugs as reported by users
          - Optimize system performance by doing data query & code optimization
          - Do unit testing for system upgrades
          - Ensure that system code repositories are always updated during system development
          - Implement & deploy newly created reports/modules
           - Train users in using newly deployed modules which may entail on-site visit to zone/farms
          - Document system process and see to it that any automation solution to be developed is consistent with the manual process
          - Develop software solutions that are highly flexible for greater flexibility in future system improvements & integration
          - Provide the business and product knowledge needed to determine how a requirement needs to be solved
          - Provide technical solutions in order that clients fulfill the legal and statutory reporting requirements
          - Work closely with users at key stages of the process to analyze and document each requirement and how it impacts the base software


Required Skills:

  • Must be a graduate of Computer Science / or any IT related courses
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Must have software development experience in any of the following Java (J2SE & J2EE), and JSP / Servlet specifications, SQL Server, DB2, Reporting tool: Crystal Reports, Financial System: SAP/JDE, VB6 and .NET Programming language.
  • Does independent reading on programming and programming practices 
  • Self-motivated and ability to work effectively with less supervision
  • Must be a team player, results-driven, flexible and multi-tasker
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications 
  • Willing to be based in Davao but occasionally travel in different farm.
