Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement health and safety programs
- Develop disease prevention programs, such as smoking cessation, exercise, and healthy eating programs
- Document and report on a regular basis all employee injuries and illnesses within the workplace
- Observe and assess the work environment for potential dangers and hazards
- Treat injuries and illnesses for employees, including follow-ups and referrals
- Oversee and implement emergency and disaster preparedness programs and planning
- Counsel employees on physical and mental health issues and guiding them toward community resources and/or employee assistance programs
- Monitor the health status of employees
- Coordinate with the company’s healthcare provider to set up annual exams for all employees
- Evaluate employees’ health and make lifestyle recommendations to improve their health
- Recommend new healthcare initiatives that the company can implement.
Qualifications:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
- Must be a Registered Nurse
- With or without relevant experience as a company nurse
- First Aid/Basic Life Support Training
- Completed 40 hours of Basic Occupational Safety and Health Training conducted by an accredited safety training organization
- Good verbal, written and presentation skills
- Amenable to work in shifting schedules
- Must be able to start ASAP
