Data Entry Specialist

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain, update and retrieve data held on computer systems.
• Prepares source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information; establishing entry priorities.
• May proofread information for accuracy as well as update data as information changes.
• Responsible for entering information into computers based on company policies and procedures.
• Properly logs and monitor whatever data  and information entered in the system particularly the items or products displayed in the supermarket, department store, and boutiques.
• Must consistently check his/her work for accuracy and completeness.
• Handle day-to-day update price and cost requested by the department head based on the current market price and the promotional item given memos from the supplier.
• Create and maintain the concessionaire contract in the system.
• Check data from completed forms or other documents for accuracy and completeness and enters into database.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree, IT/Computer Sciences or any computer related course.

EXPERIENCE

• At least 0 months to 2 years of working experience in the related field or Clerical/Administrative/Data Entry or equivalent is required for the position.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Must be computer literate and able to use Productivity Tools such as MS Office Tools.
• Honest and hardworking.
• Willing to render overtime as needed.
• Flexible, fast learner.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Possesses strong analytical, logical and mathematical skills.
• Able to work under pressure and can do multi-tasking.
• Perform general office duties such as filing, answering telephones and handling routine correspondence.
• Knowledge in Inventory/Retail/POS systems an advantage.
• Knowledge in JDA MMS retail management system or related ERP systems an advantage.
