Job Description
SAMATOSA SOFTWARE DEVELOPER CORPORATION is looking for a PROJECT MANAGER who has had worked with International IT Companies and is PMP Certified. The PM will be responsible for overseeing and managing the overall development activities of a projection unit. He/she will ensure all design, development, implementation activities are aligned to meet the client's business specification. He/she is responsible for planning, estimating, managing and delivering one or more projects within the organization while actively mitigating risks that may have negative impacts to project delivery. He/she will manage stakeholder expectations and maintain the balance between client demands and the needs of the project unit. Together with the senior operations leads, he/she will assist in creating the direction for the units as aligned with the organization goals of Samatosa.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Create the project development strategy for projects together with the QA manager and technical leads
- Assist in planning, estimating, managing and delivering one or more projects within the organization to achieve maximum team efficiency and benefit for the client
- Provide the project unit(s) the direction, priorities, scope, and plan for one or more projects
- Work with the test leads and project tech leads to identify prioritization of defects
- Proactively identify, analyze, mitigate and manage risks
- Track and report key performance metrics for one or more projects to effectively monitor and review work progress status of the projects
- Manage the process of determining staffing requirements and managing task assignments of team members depending on the project needs with the goal to maximize productivity
- Ensure that the established processes and standards and followed by the assigned project unit(s) within the organization
- Coach team members, evaluate their performance and provide feedback for career growth
- Responsible for sustaining an environment that motivates individuals to work collaboratively as a team to achieve goals that create value for the client
- Participate in meetings with client representatives to gather requirements and provide status updates
- Ensure a high level of client satisfaction through the delivery of quality products
- Propose, plan, and implement continuous, staged process improvements in line with the SDLC
- Recommend tools to maximize productivity and efficiency
- Perform any other tasks required from senior leadership from time to time
Qualifications:
- Previous work experience in managing multiple projects for international clients and/or in a multinational company
- Has Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- 8++ years of relevant work experience in Information Technology
- Expert-level knowledge of and experience working in a process-mature environment (at least CMMI Level 4)
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills
- Experience in multiple application development models such as waterfall, agile, RUP is a plus
- Project management experience in Web development and mobile technology is a plus
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Post Graduate Diploma / Master's Degree, Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam), Post Graduate Diploma / Master's Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent
- Preferably Assistant Manager / Managers specializing in IT/Computer - Software or equivalent
- Willing to work in Davao City (with Relocation Package for NCR/Cebu successful applicants)
