JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Software Development Engineer, you will mainly focus on the development of SW programs, but your level of experience and competency on the areas specified below will be a contributing factor in determining your positional ranking and compensation bracket:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement and Develop SW Programs guided by the company's coding standards while meeting quality targets and project schedules
- Carry out thorough Unit Testing on accomplished coding assignments
- Perform Analysis and Design on user requirements, with limited guidance from senior SW Engineers
- Present Timely and Effective Report of work status and accomplishments following company's best practices
- Participate and contribute to the Team's Continuous Learning of new technologies and innovative techniques to SW development
- Utilize company- authorized Project Management Tools while exploring new ones for continuous improvement and improved efficiency
TECHNICAL AND PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient in web application development using PHP with MySQL
- With good understanding and practical knowledge in using CVS
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Good communication skills (Written and spoken English)
- Can work with minimal supervision
- Practices proper documentation of work
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / ADVANTAGES:
- Involved in projects related to information technology in healthcare and/or insurance industries
- Experience with user interface design especially CSS
- Experience in implementing web services via SOAP/REST
- PhilNITS Certification (or other IT Knowledge / Skill Certification)
